Utah Heating & Furnace Services
At Gunthers, we love living in Utah! Winter brings Utah the best snow on earth, and with a high-efficiency furnace as part of your complete home comfort system, you can enjoy relaxing in your warm home without stressing about the utility bills. We've partnered with Lennox and Carrier, the industry leading heating equipment manufacturers, to bring you the latest innovations in home comfort. We offer furnaces to our customers throughout Provo / Orem, Salt Lake City, and surrounding areas that are up to 98% efficient with incredibly quiet (and efficient!) variable speed blowers and modulating burners. You can choose from a wide selection of simple or advanced programmable thermostats to help you save on your home energy costs.
Your Furnace Is One Piece In a Bigger System
Because your heating system isn't just a furnace, it is difficult to compare buying a furnace to buying a refrigerator or microwave. When you buy a refrigerator or microwave, you select one based on:
- Cost
- Features
- Functions
- Size
- Efficiency
- Appearance
When you buy a furnace, in addition to all of those things, you also have to consider all of the other pieces in the system:
- Airflow efficiency (how well air moves through your furnace to your rooms)
- Air availability (how much air can move through your furnace)
- Ease of operation and maintenance
- Effectiveness of air filtration BEFORE your equipment (leaky fittings around furnace and loose filters will cause dirt to build up in your system)
- Air balance and delivery (is there sufficient air going to the rooms served?)
When should you consider investing in your Utah furnace or heating system?
Each situation is unique and we encourage you to ask one of our sales consultants to help you evaluate your situation. Some of the items below may not be determining factors in your decision, but all should be points to consider in your evaluation of investing in your heating system.
- You have been informed there are safety concerns with your equipment or installation
- You are facing a significant repair
- Your equipment has never met your needs
- Your equipment is over 15 years old
- You are adding space to your home or doing significant remodel work
- You are finishing your basement
- You have rooms that are uncomfortable
- Your equipment is less than 80% efficient
- Your utility bills are too high
What can you do to improve the comfort of your Utah home in the winter?
- Improve and balance airflow to fix areas that are too cold
- Increase humidity levels with a whole-home humidifier to reduce/eliminate dryness irritations (e.g. dry nose, throat, skin, etc.) AND reduce/eliminate static electricity
- Clean the air in your home with special filtration and air sanitizer systems
- Create heating zones to heat only the areas you want heated (like your cold basement)
- Circulate fresh outside air in your home all year with an outside air ventilation system
- Save money AND have your home comfortable right when you need it with programmable thermostats
